Swan Jetty Refurbishment
The jetty at the Swan Inn, Stratford St Mary is a popular launch site for paddlers and was built by RSB some years ago. Although the jetty itself was still sound, the steps down to it became badly eroded by floodwater and rotten; so a redesign and rebuild was needed.
This work has recently been completed and the photos show the work in progress and the first happy customers who happened to come along as the job was finished. Many thanks to two of our volunteers; Dave and Charlie who put in the manpower to rebuild the steps which should provide many more years of safe access.
This type of river acess project is one of the main aims of RSB: profits from our guided tours can be used to fund small construction projects for the benefit of all.
