Rushbanks Farm is the only official site on the banks of the River Stour and is ideal for canoeists. It is situated on the Suffolk bank between Bures and Nayland. The campsite has been operating for over fifty years and has had a close association with River Stour Boating since we started offering tours in 2007.
We’re delighted to use the campsite as the start/finish for our tours. If you want to camp either before or after a tour, please bring your own tent & sleeping bags and book directly with the campsite. (Note: there are minimum stay requirements during peak times).
RSB customers have free use of our 6m x 3m marquee which has a large dining table & benches, gas cooker, all cutlery & crockery and even a gas fridge. You can bring your own food to cook or drive to one of several nearby pubs. There is an information folder in the marquee showing local pubs with maps and phone numbers.
A public footpath runs along the edge of the campsite and you can take a walk through woods to Wiston Church to stretch your legs after a tour or continue to Nayland in 40 minutes.
